The mayor of San Diego reversed his position on gay marriage when a resolution from the city council appeared on his desk. His public statement shows his emotional struggle with coming to his new political position. I found it an amazing and riveting bit of video. It is the first time I have seen a politician consider the ramifications of a political position and publicly struggle with the right thing to do. I commend him and only wish that we had politicians with this strength and bravery in Texas.
