Picked up seats where Prop 2 failed? That sounds like a logical extension of people being active would have voted for Democrats anyway. Which says nothing of the fact that many Democrats in the Lege voted for HJR6 anyway. A vote for a democratic candidate is by no means a vote against Prop 2, and it continues to justify my lack of faith in "gay politics" that you'd make the connection.
