The Spin Made Me Dizzy

Last night's State of the Union was another fine example of why politics disgusts most Americans. The speech had very little do with what the actual 'state of the Union' is and the hours of analysis by the pundits afterwards are as interesting as hearing a new parent talk about baby's first shit.

I appreciate the President acknowledging "Madame Speaker" and it is indeed historic and about time. I agree with the president on several of his remarks such as, limiting greenhouse gas emissions, reducing the federal deficit, working to make health care coverage affordable and his suggestion we treat immigrants without animosity. But, funnily enough, I disagree with how exactly he wants to do it almost across the board on every proposal.

Therein lies the rub, my friends. Lame duck goes "quack, quack".

I Completely Agree With You,

Pinkdome, why must you constantly degrade the man who keeps your busted ass, liberal, tree hugging, granola loving website available for all the other weak party members to spat shat on? Don't you know that if it weren't for the Bush family, you who live south(and I know who you are dumbass,) would not be able to meet and greet your busted ass border crossing brothers and sisters and cousins, and cousins' cousins....call you're all cousins it seems. Why not just stop pushing for your girl Hil to be Pres. Do you really think that our country is going to let her or her challenger, the brother, stay in office if elected? I mean don't you think that some conservative redneck from the south would plot out and then carry out the release of a Democrap Pres nearly as soon as he/she were bought into office?
Just wondering......not that I have an opinion or anything.

Ok so who gave Wonk the PCP?

BacchusXY at January 24, 2007 9:41 AM

Without cable, I wound up watching a bit of it on one of the Spanish stations.

(A) The Prez speaks much better Spanish than English.
(B) It's much easieer to listen to the Prez in a language I barely understand.

Wonder what all the anti-immigrants would have thought if they knew that there were as many Spanish stations covering the speech as American stations.

I applaud the advance team for placing the tiniest Asian woman in the world next to 9 foot tall Dikembe Mutumbo. That was hilarious.

Didn't watch the speech, but I did catch Jim Webb's response - AWESOME! Way to throw down that gauntlet and say, "Bring it BITCH!" to the Prez.

Yucca at January 24, 2007 12:45 PM

FTTR - if you have learned anything from this site, you should know that we of all people are not pushing for "Hil to be Pres." We're all about Sam Brownback. He'll win and we can start a blog category called "Brownback Mountain." And it will be AWESOME.

bluebonnet at January 24, 2007 1:16 PM

Why would I call myself "The Panz"? Who am I, Henry Winkler?

Anyway, W sucked and Webb's position is in line with about 60% of the country. So, who do you think had the better speech?
