Sen. Inhofe and Hitler

Sen. Inhofe from the great state of Oklahoma compared environmentalists with the Third Reich. From tulsaworld.com, here's what Inhofe thinks of global warming:

"It kind of reminds . . . I could use the Third Reich, the big lie," Inhofe said.

"You say something over and over and over and over again, and people will believe it, and that's their strategy."

What is up with some Republicans and their equating things they don't like to the Holocaust and the Third Reich? Give me a break!

Someday we will see global warming as less of a political issue and more of a fact. . . but by then, it will probably be too late.

Gee, Wonk... from which end of the political spectrum does Inhofe hail? The nutter right?

Inhofe is a moron. He probably thinks everything is great because he loves English wine and truly belives that thickening at the center of the ice caps is not a sign of global warming.

Just wait until the dustbowl returns to his pitiful little state. Then he'll be whining on and on about needing disaster relief. He truly is the best Senator the Koch's could buy.

Anyone who equates anyone to Hitler/Nazis -- left or right -- no longer deserves the right to free speech.

Reductio Ad Hitlerum. I agree, move away from the Nazi comparisons, it automatically makes the speaker lose credibility.

Also, the best thing to come out of Oklahoma is Interstate 35.

Yes, I have been known to use NAZI references - particularly when speaking of the loony religious right-wing

If I offended anyone on the looney religious right-wing, tough shit. I think there are some parallels between the two. To never compare anyone or anything ever again to Hitler and/or the NAZI's is naive and stupid.

This strikes me as similar to how people used to claim that the Holocaust didn't happen that it was some kind of loony myth that the left and Jews made up. Of course this is an inverse of that, but the denial of a very real situation is entirely there.

I knew no good would come of Al Gore invading Poland and sending all those people to concentration camps!
