Is that a police-state in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Ah, I love lists! Alternet has a list of the top ten signs that America is becoming a police-state. A theme of the list is after all these outrageous claims, no one gives a damn. (shocking, we know) Since I'm lazy how about a top five list of exactly why no one gives a damn.

  • Brad and Angelina had a baby girl!
  • Internet porn is a lot more fun than reading a newspaper
  • The Daily Show wouldn't be funny if the government were competent
  • My Halliburton stock is making me rich!
  • What were we talking about again?
