Attached is information about the "Fair Funding for School Kids" public school finance summit meeting being held from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Capitol. The summit will be very informative, and oriented towards communicating school finance issues in simple, effective terms and laying out parameters for a workable solution during the coming special session. Please attend if you can and spread the word about the summit.

The summit will be followed by a press conference at which progressive leaders will set forth a six-point plan for a fair, reasonable solution to school finance issues. The six-point plan, and a list of the groups that have endorsed it as of last week, is attached. So is a media advisory about the press conference.

Please take a look at the six-point plan. We want as many groups to endorse it as possible. If you can do it in time for tomorrow’s event, please let Luis Figueroa know ASAP. More importantly, we want you and your group prepared to advocate for fair funding for school kids during the special session which begins on April 17th.
