A poll conducted by the DMN is a shocker all the way around. Texans wouldn't mind paying more taxes if the money went to schools. Slapping the Republican leadership in the face with their constant refrain of cutting taxes will give them the opportunity to introduce vouchers and fool us into thinking they can put more money in schools.
Oops, looks like Texans are only slightly dumb and not completely dumb. I say slightly because the 44 percent that believe creationism should be taught in public schools means that some of them are definitely drinking the Kool-Aid of idiocy. Don't get us wrong, we love Jesus...but Jesus belongs in the Church and at home, not in state funded educational facilities. (God this argument is getting old).
We also loved the 42 percent of Texans that think building a fence along the border is a good idea. Gee, worked for Berlin!
