Virginia Governor to Deliver Dem Reponse to State of the Union

Newly elected Virginia Governor, Timothy M. Kaine, will deliver the Democratic response to tonight's State of the Union. (Just a side note: The Dems strongest player is man elected three months ago.) He prepares us for what he'll say with a little bit of this:

"I think we have to be much more about an optimistic and positive message," Kaine said of his fellow Democrats. "I think sometimes we perfect the criticism without a positive, forward-looking message."
Really? Gee, that sounds like rocket-science to us.

Here's the Democrats response to the Democrats response:
"Governor Kaine is a great story about the power of the Democrats message. Why he feels it is necessary to criticize the strong message that Democrats across this country are pushing is an unfair representation charged against our grassroots support. Besides, we did not care for his tie."

The best answer to Bush's state of the union address is the one delivered in the Senate office building yesterday by General Wesley Clark.

The video will be available at http://www.securingamerica.com later today they say and the text of the speech is here:

He covered the gamut from education to foreign policy, healthcare to the threat to the constitution.

It's worth writing that we really DO have alternatives to all the stock democrats that tout themselves as alternatives to Bush.

Finally! a Democrat with the guts to tell it like it is!

Yeah I hear LA's mayor is doing the same thing. Why? Ah, who really cares....

Come on, PD. You wouldn't criticize a rayon tie?

Kaine can't be worse than the lame-in with Reid and Pelosi last year. I doubt anyone ever watches the response anyway.

they don't. No one really watches the SOTU either, except those too stupid to change the channel or the cheap bastards who refuse to pay for cable.
