I Love It When Y'all Send Out Press Releases That Say What We Wish You'd Say

Donna Howard, HD48 Candidate, released her campaign finance report today. She's raised over $85,000 so far. Not bad for a group of Birkenstock wearing hippie tree-hugging liberals. We so loved the dripping with sarcasm bitchiness of this:

Howard's report contained no contributions from proponents of a private-school voucher scheme that would siphon billions of tax dollars out of public education. Nor did it report any secret payments to an indicted co-conspirator of Tom DeLay in the former U.S. Majority Leader's criminal money-laundering case.

Welcome to politics Ben Bentzin. It's called, your poor judgment in relationships comes to bite you in the ass. Good luck!

Good for Donna! Ben Bentzin is a puppet of Tom Craddick, Jim Leininger, and the rest of Tom DeLay's corrupt machine.

That is my type of candidate. I make comments like that where I work all of the time about situations that are going on. Gotta love the honesty.

I was part of group that spent several hours with Ben, Donna and Kathy in separate interviews. We talked about the changes needed to improve the economy, health care, education, etc.
We talked about charter schools, reducing the number of school districts, lowering overhead with technology, attracting more technology industry to Austin, Reducing health care costs with standardized technology and billing systems. Limiting Tolls to new roads, Capping property taxes to control the amount they increase each year. Changing the tax system without scaring off new business growth.

We liked all the candidates. Our Small Business Group decided to endorse Ben.
