Watching Returns

We're so not live-blogging election returns tonight on the 9 amendments. You can look at results directly on the Secretary of State's page and tune into BOR for those additional national races we're watching. California...hmmm is the Governator's shine worn off? Virginia and New Jersey is it a governor's race or a big fuck you to the president?

So y'all comment away as the night progresses. I'm going to get a little drunk and when I get back if I'm three sheets to the wind I might have something funny to say about, you know, Texas, the electorate, and politics in general. (Keep your fingers crossed!)

Looks like the ban was approved. According to the Statesman: "With 472,553 votes counted, 74 percent favored the ban while 26 percent were against it." Jizzum (I mean Chisum) can sleep contentedly tonight, I guess.

Good to know the KKK still has some clout in Texas - hooray!

Did Texas just vote to outlaw ALL marriage?

Nope, just the homos.

Let's say for argument's sake that God did, indeed, create man. And man was created in His image. Now, how would it be okay for half the population of God's creation to persecute the other half? Even according to Old Testament standards that seems to be contrary to God's original design.
