Yesterday evening PD called to tell me of his encounter with Ex-President Carter at the Houston airport. I found out later that Carter was in town for a conference. PD says he had six secret-service guys around him.

On another note, I think we should all be a little glad that at least our state government hasn't shut down. Seems like Minnesota's got some problems this summer besides huge-ass mosquitos.
