We hear a new challenger may face Martha Wong down in Houston and Gonzales may get a challenger out of the ever-popular Kirk Watson. We will have to get more on this. Not sure what the heck we were talking about.
Word is Ellen Cohen is considering a run against Wong. Here's what our tipster had to say: "Remember in 2003 when an amendment to the "informed consent" for abortion bill (HB 15) was offered to remove that nasty and absurd requirement that women be told they have an increased risk of breast cancer if they get an abortion. And remember when Martha voted against that amendment? (78th Legislature, Record Vote 383, Journal page 2015...just so you won't accuse us of misleading any one, Martha). As a breast cancer survivor herself, Ellen Cohen, may have something to say about that."
Here's what we know about Ellen. She's is the Executive Director of the Houston Area Women's Center (our domestic violence and rape crisis agency) and former ED of the American Jewish Committee-Houston. She spearheaded the building of a beautiful, state of the art women's shelter in Houston.
If you get something on Kirk, let us know.
Sorry, Sorry...I was actually taking the 'pipe' when I wrote that and was thinking about Dallas Mayor Kirk. Sorry, corrected. Pipe is now tucked away.
Still confused. Who's Gonzalez? Maybe your tipster was "on the pipe".
Let he who has not accidently mixed up the Mayor Kirk's cast the first stone.
Wait a minute ... William Shatner is running against who?
