Video Lottery Terminals Back in the Lege

Sen. Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound) failed to muster a quorum at tonight's Senate Committee on Government Organization, but she's still ready to fight. The long-time opponent to video lottery terminals intends to attach an amendment to the sunset bill on the Lottery Commission to disallow any amendment that would stretch the meaning of "lottery" to include the use of VLTs. Sen. Rodney Ellis (D-Houston) promised to call a meeting of his committee on the floor of the Senate this week to vote out the amendment.

Remember our whole post on the overheard bit about tying the definition of lotter to include video lottery terminals?

Interesting.
