The president of the Young Conservatives of Texas sent a letter to Representative Flynn rejecting the idea that the YCT should apologize to Speaker Craddick for their comments. Not only did they not apologize, Griffin (YCT Pres.) further educated Flynn on the absurdity of the request.
We also know that Speaker Craddick has intimidated, threatened, and blackmailed members of the Texas House into supporting these abhorrent ideas against the interests of the members themselves, their constituents, and the people of Texas at large. This is clearly a pattern that the people of Texas cannot afford. This is why we encourage you and your colleagues to stand up for conservative values, even in the face of pressure from the Speaker. Remember, power flows from the people to the House to the Speaker รข?? not vice versa.
