We guess our own outpost of Young Conservatives here in Austin don't want to be embarrassed like UNT's chapter. We saw reported on a blog (link removed) that there was some similar event planned for Austin.

Turns out there isn't but we've received quite a few emails about it.

We emailed the chairperson and her simple reply so far is 'no comment' but another blog has posted an emotional missive from her. Obviously she's been inundated.

Maybe wiser heads prevailed that protests against policy are cool and all, but offensive ones aren't well received.

We're still waiting on a more thorough reply from her and have offered her this space to provide a comment. (Not an emotional email)
